Cookie policy

Last updated: 21 July 2026

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small file downloaded or stored on the user’s device when accessing certain websites, in order to remember technical information, preferences or browsing data. Cookies do not damage the device.

This policy also refers to similar technologies, such as localStorage, sessionStorage, pixels, SDKs or technical identifiers, where they store or retrieve information from the browser or device.

The site controller is Adegas Moure, S.A.. You can contact us at abadiadacova@adegasmoure.com.

2. Types of cookies

By duration, cookies may be session cookies, deleted when the browser is closed, or persistent cookies, kept for a defined period.

By origin, they may be first-party cookies, sent from the domain being visited, or third-party cookies, sent from domains managed by external providers.

By purpose, they may be technical or necessary cookies, preference or personalisation cookies, analytics or measurement cookies, advertising cookies or behavioural advertising cookies. Strictly necessary technical cookies do not require consent; the others should only be used where there is a valid legal basis, usually informed consent.

3. Technologies used on this site

The Abadía da Cova Wine Club is a subscription landing page with secure external payment. It currently does not install advertising cookies or its own behavioural analytics cookies before the cookie banner is accepted.

The site uses localStorage to remember whether the user has accepted the cookie banner. The key used is cookie-consent, its value is accepted and its purpose is to avoid showing the notice again after acceptance. This is a first-party technology and remains until the user deletes browser data.

The site also uses localStorage to remember the initial age confirmation. The age-gate key stores only the value accepted; it does not store a date of birth, identity document or personal data. This technology is necessary to maintain the access barrier and remains until the user deletes browser data.

The site may use strictly necessary cookies or technical identifiers to provide the service, maintain security, manage Astro/Cloudflare environment sessions where required and enable forms, endpoints, checkout, webhooks and return pages to work. These technologies are not used to build commercial profiles.

The website loads fonts from Google Fonts. This provider may receive technical information associated with the resource request, such as IP address, browser or technical headers. It is not used for advertising purposes from this site.

If Sentry is configured through a DSN, the site may send technical error information to detect frontend, backend or webhook failures. This monitoring is limited to security, debugging and service improvement.

When the user starts payment or accesses the customer portal, they are redirected to Stripe. Stripe may use its own cookies or equivalent technologies on its domains for security, fraud prevention, authentication, payment, compliance and operation of checkout or portal. These technologies are governed by Stripe’s policy.

4. Guidance table

cookie-consent / localStorage / first-party / remember banner acceptance / persistent until browser data is deleted / necessary for notice management.

Technical session or security cookies / first-party or infrastructure / site operation, forms, endpoints, security and Cloudflare deployment / session or technically necessary period / exempt from consent where strictly necessary.

Google Fonts / third party: Google / web font delivery and static resource loading / according to provider configuration / not advertising from this site.

Sentry / third party: Sentry, if a DSN is configured / error monitoring and technical diagnostics / according to provider configuration / legitimate interest in service security and stability.

Stripe / third party: Stripe, when accessing checkout or portal / payment, subscription, authentication, fraud prevention and security / according to Stripe configuration / necessary to perform the subscription contract and operate secure payment.

Web analytics / first-party or third party, if integrated in the future / site usage measurement / according to tool configuration / should only activate after consent unless it strictly meets the exemption requirements applicable to audience measurement.

5. Consent and withdrawal

The site’s cookie banner blocks analytics and non-essential technologies until acceptance. Acceptance is recorded in localStorage using the cookie-consent key.

You can withdraw or reset acceptance by deleting site data in your browser, removing the local storage associated with club.abadiadacova.com or writing to our contact email for help. After that data is deleted, the banner will appear again on your next visit.

If analytics, advertising or non-essential personalisation tools are added in the future, they must remain blocked until valid consent exists, and this policy and the consent management mechanism must be updated.

6. How to configure or disable cookies in your browser

You can allow, block or delete cookies and site data from your browser settings. The exact path depends on your browser and version.

As a reference, you may consult the help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge or Opera. If you block strictly necessary cookies or technologies, some site functions, Stripe Checkout, the customer portal or forms may not work properly.

Adegas Moure is not responsible for the content of, or changes to, external help pages from each browser or provider.

7. Updates to this policy

This Cookie Policy may be amended when the technologies used, service providers or applicable law change. The last updated date is shown at the top of the page.
